SOLD – Restored Retro Style Parker Knoll Chairs

PRICE £745SOLD / Please ask as I may be able to make very similar chairs.

I got the chairs from Highlands and decided to refurbish it, I asked my friend who has over 27 years experience with upholstery if he can teach me how to transform the 1950’s chairs to modern retro style. I can not wait to finish the project, …….updates are pending.

I complete the wood work after a couple of hours sanding with different grades of paper and countless hours of hard work to bring the natural beech wood back to life with 2 coats of wax. Under the strict supervision of Smiths Upholstery, I sewed the some of the fabrics and piping together which was very enjoyable as I am a seamstress to trade.

……and finally the project is finish.

1 pair of matching Parker Knoll type chairs, fully restored to a very high standard, the wood work has been taken back to its natural state, and has received 2 coats of wax, to protect it and let the natural grain of the beach wood to come through, also not taking away its patina, showing their age from around 1940s to 1950s, these compact chairs have been re upholstered by Smiths Upholstery, in a top quality printed velvet, in a retro style, the bright colours, are complimented by a contrasting piping to the backs , and seat cushions.

This pair of chairs would complement any home that incorporates, this style and design, weather a lounge, hallway or bedroom, they take up a small amount of floor space, yet make a big statement on any room.

Collection is available from Glasgow G41 2PF with payment, I would also be willing to deliver within a 30 miles radius from Glasgow (request a quote), also delivery between Glasgow and Inverness anywhere off A9 by appointment subject to extra charge. You are also welcome to arrange your own courier, as long as I am informed of the arrangements first.
